Man Seriously Injured By Firework During Block Party In Commack
A 67-year-old man was seriously injured by a firework while attending a block party on Long Island. The incident happened in Commack on Diellen Court at about 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, the Suffolk County Police Department said. Police said a mortar-style firework exploded and struck the man in the face. He was hospitalized for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening burns and lacerations to his face and head, police said. Fire Victim Burned, Airlifted In Central Jersey Blaze: FD
A fire with a victim was being battled in Central Jersey, authorities said. The fire was reported at about 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 on McKinley Avenue South in Woodbridge Township, initial reports said. Four People Injured In Dangerous Baltimore House Fire
Four people were sent to the hospital with burn injuries after a house fire in Baltimore, according to officials. The fire broke out just before 9 a.m. at 4607 Harcourt Rd. in a two-story house. Billows of smoke were seen from the roof and when firefighters arrived they rescued four people, the Baltimore County Fire Department said. All residents were taken to a nearby hospital, with one in serious condition and three others expected to survive. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
