Medical Examiner Issues Ruling In Death Of 16-Year-Old Hockey Player
The death of a Connecticut high school hockey player after an on-ice collision has been ruled accidental.
The state's chief medical examiner announced on Monday, Jan. 10 that Teddy Balkind, a 10th-grader at St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, who died on Thursday, Jan. 6, during a game died from an "incised wound of the neck," and the incident was officially ruled as accidental.
Balkind, age 16, was killed around 5 p.m., during a junior varsity game at the Brunswick Upper School in Greenwich.

These Fairfield County Private Schools Rank Among State's Most Expensive
Fairfield County is home to some of Connecticut’s best - and most expensive - private schools in the country, according to a recently released report by the Private School Review.
According to the report, the average price of private school tuition statewide is approximately $24,395 per year, with the private elementary school average of $14,424 per year and the private high school average of $31,893 per year.
The most expensive tuition in Connecticut is Franklin Academy, at $77,000, while Litchfield Montessori School is the lowest, at just $1,550 annually.
