Lego Bound For Boston, Bricks Up Connecticut Headquarters
Boston's Back Bay is about to get a little more playful.
The LEGO Group, makers of the beloved interlocking bricks, announced that the company's headquarters for the Americas will relocate from Enfield, in Hartford County, Connecticut, to 1001 Boylston Street, Boston in 2026.
The company announced in January 2023 that it was searching for a new home for its headquarters. After an "extensive" search, the Boylston Street location was chosen for its rich history, central location between Cambridge and Boston, and the region's diverse talent pool.

Boston Bus Rider Slams Woman's Head Into Glass After Being Told To ‘Shut Up’
An argument over a woman being rowdy on an MBTA bus ended with one woman getting hurt and the other arrested, authorities said.
Police received a call about an assault in progress on a bus at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Boylston Street around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, Transit Police said.
Upon arrival, the victim told officers that a woman, later identified as Shauntay Simmons, of Boston, was drinking and speaking incredibly loud. The victim, who was on the phone, then told Simmons to "shut up," according to police.

Suspect In Strangulation Death Of A Fitchburg Woman Is Arrested In Maine
A suspect in the strangulation death of a 29-year-old Fitchburg woman was arrested in Maine, Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Aaron Parsons, 43, was arrested in South Paris, Maine, on a charge of being a fugitive from justice, police said.
Parsons was wanted in connection with the death of Sarah Dorany, 29, of Fitchburg, who died on March 13. He is accused of manslaughter and sexual asault.
