Three people were rescued after their diving boat sank near the site of a shipwreck off the coast of Long Island. It happened at around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, nearly three miles southwest of Long Beach. Police have identified the victim killed by a boat propellor over the weekend at a New Jersey beach. Zeina Mahafzah, of Wayne, was on a raft being pulled by a boat in the waters of Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars when she was struck by the vessel's propellor on Sunday, Aug. 25 around 4:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Mahafzah, who had been trying to board the boat, died. NBC Philadelphia previously reported the scene was a gory one, as Mahafzah had been "dismembered." Mahafzah died as a result of the accident.

New Jersey State Police divers recovered the body of an 80-year-old man from Lake Hopatcong following a boating accident earlier this week, authorities said. Edward Sikora, 80, of Upper Saddle River, was reported missing Monday, July 24, when his boat drifted into a dock on Thompson Lane in Hopatcong, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt.
