A man with a history of impersonating a police officer was arrested in Franklin County on Tuesday, June 13, for dressing up like a cop and riding around in a car that mimicked a patrol cruiser, the real police said.
The man, whose name has not been released, was pulled over in Bernardston after officers noticed his Crown Victoria car had a paint scheme nearly identical to that of a police cruiser, authorities said.

Drug Ring Bust Leads To 20 Convictions In Western Mass
Authorities in Western Massachusetts are celebrating as two men, busted as part of a drug ring in 2021, pled guilty on Thursday, June 8. That makes 20 felony convictions since investigators began dismantling the operation in 2021, officials said.
Jason Nadeau, 42, of Ludlow, pleaded guilty to two felony charges of trafficking cocaine and one of conspiracy, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said.
David Gallegos, 30, of Deerfield, will serve a year of probation after a judge continued without a finding a charge of conspiracy, the prosecutor said. …
Woman Killed In Single-Vehicle Franklin County Crash
A woman was killed and another injured during a single-vehicle crash in Western Massachusetts.
It took place around 12:20 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, on Route 21 in Franklin County in Bernardston, said the Massachusetts State Police.
When troopers arrived on the scene they found a 2015 Cadillac SRX had left the roadway on the right and crashed into a guardrail and then into a line of trees, state police said.
