Lane Closure: Weekend Traffic On I-684 In Bedford To Be Affected Motorists are being warned of an upcoming weekend lane closure on Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester that will likely delay traffic.  On Saturday, Oct. 28, Interstate 684 southbound is scheduled to be reduced to one lane between Exit 6 (Route 35) and Exit 4 (Route 172) in Bedford between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The lane closure will allow for bridge repairs if the weather cooperates, according to officials. Injured Hiker Rescued From Wooded Preserve In Bedford After becoming injured miles-deep in the woods at a nature preserve in Northern Westchester, a hiker had to be rescued by first responders.  The rescue happened on Sunday, Aug. 20 around 10:45 a.m., when the Banksville Fire Department received a report of an injured hiker at the Mianus River Gorge Preserve in Bedford.  According to the department, the hiker was around two miles deep into the forest and was unable to leave the preserve without help from first responders.  Minutes later, fire crews arrived at the preserve and used all-terrain vehicles to help get the hiker out…

Lane Closure Planned For Stretch Of I-684 In Bedford State officials are alerting motorists about a planned lane closure on a busy stretch of I-684. The New York State Department of Transportation said the right lane southbound is set to close between Exit 5 (Saw Mill River Parkway) and Exit 6 (State Route 35) in Bedford to facilitate bridge maintenance. The lane closure is scheduled to be implemented between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, officials said.
