Nicholas Howell of Spotsylvania reportedly threatened a family member with a weapon on July 18 at around 5:55 p.m., the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office announced. When the first deputy arrived at the scene, Howell charged at the officer with a 33-inch Spartan Warrior Style Sword, officials reported.
