A total of thirty goats that managed to escape their pen and block a Hudson Valley roadway were herded back home thanks to the help of a trusty K9 officer. The flock of goats made its escape in Putnam County on Monday, Sept. 25, when a Carmel Police officer found 30 of the animals loose in a Mahopac Falls road, completely blocking it. The cause of serious delays on Interstate 81 in central Pennsylvania has been revealed to be due to three escaped pigs, according to Pennsylvania state police. The wayward swine go loose from a truck heading north along the interstate near Exit 77 (PA 39 Mandala Hill/Hershey) shortly after 7 a.m., on Thursday, August 18, police say.
