A father and mother who forced their seven children to live in filthy conditions in a rundown trailer in Bucks County were sentenced to up to 16 years in Pennsylvania State Prison on child neglect charges, authorities said.

A Rochester, NY man whose dog bit a Loudoun County deputy after leading a reckless pursuit that landed four people in the hospital has been sentence to prison time.
Justin Connor, of Rochester, NY, who was 27 at the time of the July 2023 incident, was sentenced on May 23, 2024 to seven years and three months in prison by Judge Matthew P. Snow, the county sheriff's office announced.
Connor was found unconscious behind the wheel of the car in the Sheetz gas station parking lot at Dulles Plaza in Sterling, around 8:25 a.m. July 22, 2023, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

Officials are looking to find new homes for more than 65 farm animals after their owner, the proprietor of a kennel in the Hudson Valley, was found dead.
The effort to rehome the animals began when the owner of a local kennel in Putnam County located in Putnam Valley was found dead on Friday, Aug. 25, leaving the dogs, cats, goats, chickens, ducks, and donkeys on the property without care, according to the Putnam County SPCA.

A pit bull dog was shot by police in central Massachusetts to save the life of a 75-year-old who was left seriously injured after the dog attacked him, authorities said.
