Man Fatally Struck By Amtrak Train In Virginia, Police Investigating (Developing) A man was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in Fredericksburg on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30, sparking an investigation by local and federal authorities, police said. Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train In Princeton A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Princeton Friday, Nov. 4, authorities said. Northeast Corridor train 3953, which had left form Penn station New York, struck the victim around 6:35 p.m. at Princeton Junction station, NJ Transit officials said. No injuries were reported to the customers or the crew on board. Northeast Corridor service was temporarily suspended in both directions but has since resumed.   Amtrak police were leading the investigation with assistance from New Jersey Transit Police.

ORIGINAL: A train operated by Amtrak has hit and killed a pedestrian, according to emergency dispatchers. The pedestrian was hit in Lancaster near Grofftown Road on Friday around 2 p.m., according to dispatchers.  The victim died at the scene, dispatches say. According to the alert, 19-year-old Zachary R. Dunn was initially reported missing by a family member on March 10.  Dunn was last known to have contact with Amtrak Police in the Philadelphia area on Feb. 20. Man With Active Warrants Caused Disturbance At Westport Restaurant, Police Say A man who was wanted on outstanding warrants from Amtrak Police in New Haven was arrested after he allegedly created a disturbance at a Westport restaurant. Police were called to the restaurant June 18 where the man was reportedly yelling at people inside, and when they got there the man had already left,  according to Westport Police.
