Beacon 21-Year-Old Accused Of Violating Protection Order For Second Time In Month
A man is facing charges after allegedly violating an order of protection while incarcerated for the second time in the span of a month, authorities said.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office reported that Brandon Mima, age 21, of Beacon, currently held at the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center, is accused of contacting two individuals protected by the order via telephone. He was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and charged with:

Man Threatens Ex-Girlfriend With Box Cutter In Area, Police Say
A 50-year-old man threatened his ex-girlfriend with a box cutter in her home, police said.
On Friday, Sept. 17 at approximately 6 p.m., Ulster County resident Alan W. Ocasio, of Ellenville, a.k.a. "Ali Baba," repeatedly threatened his ex-girlfriend with the weapon, and fled on foot when she called police, according to the Ellenville Police Department.
He was reportedly located by police on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 27.
Ocasio was charged with the felonies of:

Brother Lands Behind Bars After Choking Sister During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
A 40-year-old man landed behind bars without bail after allegedly choking his sister during a domestic dispute.
The incident took place in Ulster County around 11:42 p.m., Sunday, June 28, in Saugerties, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph A. Sinagra, said.
According to Sinagra, Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call reporting a woman screaming for help in the area of 13 Village Drive.

A man and woman have been charged with criminally negligent homicide after a 6-month-old infant was found dead in a bathtub.
Ulster County residents Jordan E, Balcom, 29, and Ashante D. Inniss, 26, both of Kingston, were arrested around 6 p.m., Saturday, April 18, after Kingston Police responded to a home at 59 Gill St., for a report of a possible drowning, the department said.

Long Island Man Tried To Kill 82-Year-Old Mother, Police Say
A 39-year-old man is accused of trying to kill his 82-year-old mother, who he shares a home with on Long Island.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
According to Nassau County Police detectives, an 82-year-old victim entered her residence that she shares with her son, Anil Khandpur.
Khandpur grabbed the victim, dragged her to the top of the basement stairs and attempted to throw her down, according to police.
