Dog Killed, 25-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured By Hit-Run Driver In Absecon: Police
A man and his dog were struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday, Nov. 30, in Atlantic County, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly after midnight at the intersection of Highland Boulevard and Marlborough Avenue in Absecon, where the dog was killed. The man, identified as a 25-year-old Absecon resident, was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police ID Driver, 33, Killed In Fiery Atlantic County Crash
A Passaic County man died in a fiery crash in Atlantic County, authorities said.
An Absecon officer saw the vehicle on fire off Route 30 near Delilah Road just before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 28, the police department said in a news release. The vehicle was spotted near the former site of Bayview Motel.

Craig Doka, 33, of Oak Ridge, was found dead inside the vehicle. Absecon firefighters also arrived and put out the flames.

Man Convicted In Pleasantville HS Football Game Shooting, Killing 10-Year-Old Spectator
A 35-year-old Atlantic City man has been convicted of murder in a Pleasantville High School football game shooting that killed a 10-year-old boy and wounded two other spectators, authorities said.
Alvin Wyatt was convicted on Thursday, July 27, after a five-day jury trial, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
In addition to the murder conviction, the jury convicted Wyatt of two counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and certain persons not to possess firearms, the prosecutor said.

Atlantic City Woman, 57, Struck, Killed While Helping Stranded Motorist At Route 30 Crash Scene
A motorist who stopped to help another motorist involved in a crash was struck and killed in South Jersey, authorities said.
Atlantic City police were called to Route 30 on a report of a collision about 10 p.m. Wednesday, a department spokesman said.
Responding patrol officers found that a Jeep SUV operated by an unidentified driver, 35, from Atlantic City, struck a center median and became disabled in the left lane of eastbound traffic.
