Website Adds Up The Numbers, Finds Westport Among 'Most Boring Towns' WESTPORT, Conn. — RoadSnacks.Net believes that Westport is among the most boring towns in Connecticut. But rest assured, the designation is purely statistical.  “We didn’t use personal opinion when it comes to what classifies a city or town as ‘boring,” wrote Sam Sparkes, the article’s author. “We crunched actual numbers to figure out which towns are statistically more boring.” The website also features other equally cheerful but statistically based articles — citing scientific fact, of course —such as “These Are The 10 Worst Places To Live In Delaware”  and “These Are The 10 Worst Plac…

Eco-Friendly Home Builder Finds Purity On Westport Property WESTPORT, Conn. — The path to better luxury living begins by becoming more friendly to the environment, according to Pure House creator Doug Mcdonald.  “If you’re not at war with your house, land and yard, you’re living in more luxury,” Mcdonald told The Daily Voice on Thursday, referring to such environmentally destructive habits of fighting nature as using pesticides to kill weeds. But the property of his company's newly constructed 6,000-square-foot house on Coleytown Road in Westport will be purely natural.  That devotion to nature can be seen in the landscape, where Mcdonald esc…

Richards said she was pleased to spot the harmless black rat snake after seeing two copperhead snakes on her property earlier. She also reported that her neighbor had spotted a copperhe…

Greenwich Ecologist Takes A Leap Into Africa Greenwich Ecologist Takes A Leap Into Africa Greenwich Ecologist Takes A Leap Into Africa
Greenwich Ecologist Takes A Leap Into Africa GREENWICH, Conn. — Even though Axel Hunnicutt grew up in suburban Greenwich, he was always drawn to wildlife.  He enjoyed visiting Audubon and the Bronx Zoo as a kid. But when the opportunity arose, he decide to move to the wilderness.  “I’ve never wanted to be an armchair ecologist,” Hunnicutt said from a coffee shop in Cos Cob on Tuesday. So he did something not many University of Connecticut grads do: He packed up his bags and moved to study grizzly bears in the Canadian Rockies. When Hunnicutt was admitted to the University of Pretoria, he moved across the world to KwaZulu-Nat…
