Homeowner Shoots Burglar In Central PA, Police Say A burglar was shot by the owner of the home they were breaking into on Sunday, May 14, 2023, police announced the following morning.  The New Cumberland Borough of Police Department was called to the burglary in the 300 block of Second Street at 8:14 p.m. When officers arrived, they learned that the homeowner shot the suspect and they fled the scene. Girl Missing Over 25 Days Thought To Be In Harrisburg Found Safe, Police Say A girl who was missing for over 25 days and was thought to be in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has been found safe, authorities say.  On Monday, Jan, 30.West Shore Regional Police announced that they were attempting to locate Alayjah Sha'dae Cicile Williams, who "ran away from home on January 6, 2023."   Where she was last seen, her age, and her physical description were not released.  WSRPD updated the statement the following afternoon saying she had been located safely but no additional information was provided.

West Shore PD: Woman Arrested For Lying About Assault A Cumberland County woman has been arrested for lying about an assault, according to West Shore Regional Police. Michele Lynn Peters, 27, claimed she was assaulted in 800 Block of North Front Street in Wormleysburg on Friday, authorities said. Investigators discovered she provided false information in her report of the supposed assault. Peters was arrested on Sunday and resides in Cumberland County Prison pending criminal charges. Peters previously has served time after being picked up on a warrant for theft and pleading guilty, serving 15 days in prison, the minimum sentence.
