Truck Left Hanging Off Bridge When Driver Flees, York County Police Say
A bridge in York County is closed "for an indefinite period of time" after a driver crashed their truck— leaving the front end dangling over the edge— before fleeing the scene, police say. York County Regional police officers where called to a report of "a vehicle into a bridge" in the 500 block of Wago Road in East Manchester Township around 4:48 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, according to a release by the department issued later that morning. 40 Grave Damaged At Cemetery In York County: Police
Approximately 40 grave markers were knocked over, many of which were destroyed in a central Pennsylvania cemetery on Saturday, September 10, police say. The vandalism happened at the Starview Union Cemetery in the first block of Codorus Furnace Road in East Manchester Township, according to York County Regional police. The police believe the damage happened on Saturday evening. Anyone with information is asked to call York County Regional police at 717-747-0716 ext 134, or submit a tip through CrimeWatch.

22-Year-Old Man Killed, Brother 16, Injured Following Crash Into Tree: York County Coroner
A 22-year-old man has been identified following a crash into a tree on Sunday, August 7. Kyle A. Denny of the 200 Block of Greenfield Street, Manchester was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash on Gut Road of East Manchester Township at 5:38 a.m. by deputy Coroner Karen Frank. He apparently lost control of his vehicle while going around a curve, between 2nd Street and Wago Road, hitting a tree around 4:52 a.m., according to the coroner's release. Car On Tracks Causes Train Derailment In York County, Officials Say
A train derailed in York County after hitting a vehicle on the tracks on Thursday, according to York County Office of Emergency Management spokesman Ted Czech. The train was hauling pulverized coal when it struck an unoccupied parked vehicle near Walton and Locust streets, Czech said in a statement. A Pennsylvania man was pinned by heavy equipment at his job and later died from his injuries on Monday, authorities say. Christopher Raul, 20, of the 400 Block of Birthday Club Road in Shrewsbury Township, York County, was pinned by equipment at his job, the coroner says. : Screaming Infant Covered In Vomit Trapped In Car In LanCo. On 90+ Degree Day
A child under 1-year-old was found locked in an unattended car in Clay Township on Monday, according to the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department. A group of alarmed shoppers called 911 and began to seek out the owner of the car upon finding the infant locked inside a vehicle, screaming, covered in vomit in the area of the Subway at 1077 Sharpe Avenue. Boy, 4, Dies In Car Parked Outside His Home In York
A 4-year-old boy died in a parked car in East Manchester Township on Tuesday, according to the York County Coroner's office. Dameon Erb of the 400 block of Blossom Drive, was found unresponsive in a car belonging to his family, parked outside his home around 2 p.m. Family members discovered he was in the vehicle after they noticed he was missing from the home and were searching for him. Teen Shoots, Kills Himself Near Railroad Tracks In York County
A teen shot and killed himself near the railroad tracks in East Manchester Township on Tuesday. The York County Coroner's office was dispatched to the area of Gut and Wago roads at 8:39 a.m. for a report of a deceased male near the railroad tracks. Two deputy coroners responded and determine the teenage boy died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the abdomen. The time of death was 9:23 a.m. There will be no autopsy.

Sealed Deal Ends Suit Over Suicide Of Accused Double Murderer In York County Prison
A lawsuit over an accused double murderer who hanged herself while imprisoned ended recently with a settlement. At the end of Feb. a deal between the York County Prison and the executor of the estate of Veronique Henry was settled and sealed by the order of U.S. Middle District Magistrate Judge Martin C. Carlson. Henry, 32, of East Manchester Township, had hanged herself in her cell at York County Prison in September 2016 shortly after her husband Paul Henry III, 40 at the time, and her were charged with two murders during a home invasion.
