Montco Woman Fatally Struck By Own Car, Coroner Says
A Montgomery County woman has died after she was accidentally struck by her own car in Catasauqua on Sunday night, Feb. 4, according to officials.
Santosh Gupta-Bala, 64, of Blue Bell, was taking items from the trunk when her car began to roll backward, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. She tried to get back into the car but fell underneath and was hit, authorities said.
It happened on the 900 block of Bridge Court around 6:30 p.m., said Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

Bystanders rescued the two occupants of a crashed plane in Chester County Wednesday, June 1, authorities said.
The small single-engine plane went down on a golf course at St. David's Country Club off Upper Gulph Road in Wayne at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to Tredyffrin Township police.
The plane, which was flying from Fort Myers, FL to Blue Bell, PA, experienced a mechanical failure and had to make an emergency landing, police said.
