The assault happened when a man in a black hoodie walked up behind the tow truck driver, said something, and hit him in the 100 block of South Penn Street in York City on Feb. 16 around 1:25 p.m., according to a release by York City police.
The dashcam was in a transit bus, according to WGAL News 8.
The suspect was identified as Eliezer Graciani-Alicea, 37, of York, and a warrant for his arrest was issued Wednesday, Feb. 24, the outlet first reported citing City police.
Tips from the community via phone, CRIMEWATCH, and social media helped identify Graciani-Alicea, according to the police.
Graciani-Alicea turned himself in on Thursday, according to York City police.
He was charged with a felony for aggravated assault - attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme indifference, according to his court docket.
He has been held in the York County Prison in lieu of $50,000 in bail and his preliminary hearing has been scheduled at 9 a.m. on Mar. 4 with Magisterial District Court Judge Joel N. Toluba, court records show.
