Selvin H. McEwan Jr., 30, of York, was shot at his home in the 200 block of East Poplar Street of York on Sunday at approximately 5:13 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported and as identified by the York County Coroner's office.
When officers arrived at the scene they discovered McEwan was suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to WellSpan York Hospital where, after lifesaving measures, he was declared deceased at 9:15 p.m.
The shooting is thought to have happened during a domestic dispute, according to the coroner's office.
No arrests were made and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing, according to police.
An autopsy has been scheduled at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Tuesday at 8 a.m., according to the coroner.
McEwan is a J.P. McCaskey High School graduate, who works at Harley-Davidson, according to his Facebook profile.
He is survived by his family and many friends, according to his Facebook profile.
Some of those friends have already taken to social media to mourn the friend they knew as "SoLo."
Funeral and memorial service details have not been released.
