Roads Reopen After Gas Leak In York (Update)

Traffic is now flowing at an intersection in York County that closed due to a gas leak, according to the York County Office of Emergency Management.

The intersection of Memory Lane and Industrial Highway in Springettsbury Township shut down due to the leak shortly before 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, according to Ted Czech.

The intersection reopened on Thursday morning, according to a release by Czech.

A struck gas line reportedly caused the leak.

Repairs were still underway as of 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 12, according to Czech.

"According to Columbia Gas, gas service restoration for businesses in the area is underway," Cezch said.
