The Northampton County Coroner's Office has identified the 22-year-old man who died after a wrong-way driver drove up a highway on-ramp between Easton and Bethlehem on Thursday, Oct. 5. John Michael Woodburn of Bethlehem died from multiple blunt force trauma, Coroner Zachary Lysek said. His cause of death was ruled accidental. One Killed, Another Injured In Wrong-Way Route 1 Crash
One driver was killed and another was hurt following a Tuesday, July 19 wrong-way crash on the Route 1 bypass in East Nottingham Township, authorities confirmed. A 33-year-old Pennsylvania driver was traveling in the northbound lanes between SR472 and SR272 when a 25-year-old wrong-way driver from Maryland struck her vehicle head-on around 5:40 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police said. Wrong-Way Driver Caused Deadly PA Turnpike Crash: Report
A crash that turned deadly on the Pennsylvania Turnpike last week was caused by a wrong-way driver, 6abc reports. The car was going north in the southbound lanes when it hit another car head-on near the Allentown Service Plaza around 9:15 p.m. Friday, June 24, the outlet said citing authorities.
