Montco Burglar Caught With Fake License Plate Taped To Car, Police Say
A would-be car burglar was caught prowling at an Upper Merion apartment complex last Tuesday, March 12, township police said in a release. Authorities were called to Indigo, 301 Village Drive in King of Prussia, around 4 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing a man in a ski mask dressed in black in the parking area, police said. Pottstown Man Peeped Through Windows At Area Apartments, Police Claim
A Pottstown man is accused of prowling around area apartment buildings and looking into windows, authorities say. Warren Jeffries, 58, is charged with misdemeanor loitering and evading arrest, North Coventry Township police said in a release. It happened on Feb. 20, the department claimed. Officers were called to the CVS at 351 W. Schuylkill Road for reports of a "suspicious male" standing around outside, they said. Jeffries fled the area when police arrived, authorities said. Duo Rummaging Through MontCo Cars Busted With Pot: Police
Two people caught rummaging through vehicles in Montgomery County were also busted with marijuana, authorities said. Officers were on patrol in the 3900 block of Shelley Drive when they saw two people with flashlights near the driveway of a home around 4:05 a.m. on July 1m, Lower Moreland police said. After also hearing two car doors close, the officers kept an eye on the suspects, who were then seen walking away from the driveway and into a gray Hyundai Elantra with a heavy tint, they said.
