One person has died after an early morning house fire in Lower Southampton Township on Wednesday, Jan. 10, authorities told Daily Voice. Multiple departments were called to a home on Hilton Avenue in Oakford section around 3:20 a.m., according to the Feasterville Fire Company. Facebook/Lower Southampton Fire Dept. Multiple fire departments responded to a blaze at a Penndel residence on Thursday, July 6, officials say. Firefighters were called to a two-story building at around noon, according to Newtown Fire Rescue. Video from the scene posted by Penndel Volunteer Fire Company showed flames engulfing the back porch of the Acosta Doors building, 145 Durham Road. Teams were able to get the flames under control in about 20 minutes, Newtown fire officials said. Crews worked the scene for an additional three hours, according to Penndel firefighters. Driver Dead In Fiery Bucks County Nursing Home Crash
A female driver died in a fiery crash at a Bucks County nursing home Monday morning, fire officials said. The woman was trapped inside of the vehicle that had struck the stone porch area of the Langhorne Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center on Manor Avenue when Langhorne Middletown Fire Chief Frank Farry arrived at the scene just after 8 a.m., he said. The community in Bucks County is rallying for a beloved volunteer firefighter battling cancer for the fifth time. John Scheetz -- a current trustee, former president and life member of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company -- was diagnosed with cancer three years ago. Firefighters from across Bucks County worked to knock down a blaze that broke out in a house overnight Wednesday. Just after midnight, the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company was assisted by several area companies to the 400 block of Stony Hill Road in Lower Makefield Township.
