One person was hurt when a school bus caught fire in Lycoming County early on Monday, Feb. 12, authorities say. The bus' brakes began burning on Route 220 near Main Street in Jersey Shore Borough, Lycoming Regional police said in a release. The bus was pulled over and passengers were evacuating when police arrived at the scene, but a passerby was injured while trying to put out the fire, according to officials. An infant, two police officers, and a firefighter were among the seven people injured in a Northeast Philadelphia rowhouse blaze Thursday morning, Dec. 7, according to officials. Firefighters were called to the 6300 block of Cardiff Street in Mayfair just before 8 a.m., PFD said. Heavy smoke and flames were visible when crews arrived and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control within 30 minutes, authorities said. Dynamite Explodes In Schuylkill County: What We Know
Multiple people were injured in a dynamite explosion in Schuylkill County Monday, Oct. 10, authorities confirmed. Employees of Maine Drilling and Blasting were throwing out boxes containing boosters when it exploded on West Center Street in Good Spring around 11:45 a.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police. A pileup involving approximately 70 vehicles will shut Route 581 in Cumberland County indefinitely Saturday, March 12. The crash was reported on the eastbound side near mile marker 7.1 around 2:10 p.m., in the wake of the afternoon snow storm. It happened between exits for Route 15 and I-83. Several injuries were reported, though none were life-threatening, authorities said.
