For nearly a year now a vigilante has been prowling the streets of North Jersey targeting child predators. All are drawn to public meeting places by what appears to be an underage boy or girl. 'Predator Poachers' Group Busts Suburban Philly Man Meeting 'Teen Boy' For Sex: Report
A Texas-based group aimed at catching online child predators helped police in the Philadelphia suburbs nab a 23-year-old Montgomery County man who thought he was meeting a 13-year-old boy for sex, according to court documents obtained by NorthPennNow. Devon Weiss, of Lansdale, arranged to meet the "child" over an online chat forum and requested sexual acts over text, according to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department. NY Delivery Driver Gets Four Years In Prison For Seeking Sex With NJ 'Girl'
A takeout food delivery driver from Westchester who was arrested when he showed up at a Bergen County home for sex with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl was sentenced Friday to four years in state prison. Jacob Smith, 28, used the name “LaidbackJay” to connect on the online app with what turned out to be an undercover detective posing as an underage girl. Former PA Firefighter Gets Up To 20 Years In Prison For Sexually Abusing Young Teen
A former Pennsylvania firefighter was sentenced to 10 to 20 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy he met on an online dating app in 2019, authorities said. Carlton Bell, 29, of Pottstown (Montgomery County), was arrested in January 2020, and pled guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual abuse of children in April 2021, according to the Chester County District Attorney's office.
