She was 29. Born in Allentown, Christy attended Northampton High School, where she played softball, marched and played flute in band, and danced with Steps in Time of Allentown before graduating in 2011, her obituary says. Christy then went on to attend Northampton Community College and play softball for Northampton AA and Allen Township, according to her memorial. Born and raised in Raritan Township, Karpinski was known for her love of sports, particularly lacrosse. She played as goalie for the Hunterdon Central Red Devils as well as for the Triple Threat Elite Club Team, her obituary says. Karpinski had a goal of playing D1 lacrosse while pursuing an exercise science degree. She wanted to become a professional athletic trainer, her memorial says.
