Hundreds Of Commuters Briefly Stranded In SEPTA Debacle Some 250 Philadelphia commuters were left stranded on a "dead" track in West Philadelphia Thursday morning, Feb. 22, transit authorities confirmed to Daily Voice.  It happened during the morning rush hour around 7:30 a.m., SEPTA said.  "Amtrak mistakenly routed a Center City-bound SEPTA Regional Rail train to a dead track that was not receiving power," a spokesperson wrote. Victim Found Shot In Head In Idling Car: Philadelphia Police A man was found sitting in his car on a Center City street with a gunshot wound to the head late on Monday night, Sept. 25, Philadelphia police told Daily Voice.  The victim was found in a blue Toyota Prius on the 500 block of South 17th Street around 11:40 p.m., the department said.
