A Phillipsburg man was charged with DUI after causing a five-car crash on Route 22 in PA before dawn on Monday, Oct. 17, state police said. Troopers responded to a single-car crash in the eastbound lanes at Nazareth Pike in Bethlehem Township around 5:15 a.m. and found that a separate five-car pileup had occurred as a result of the first crash, state police said. A two-alarm fire tore through three adjacent Lehigh Valley homes, authorities said. The Upper Nazareth Fire Department responded to the blaze in the 2000 block of Lynnwood Drive in Upper Nazareth around 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, the squad said. An initial investigation prompted a second alarm as well as crews from several surrounding departments. Three single-family homes were damaged in the fire, the department said. Four riders were hospitalized following a back-to-back crash in Pennsylvania that involved up to 15 motorcycles and a BMW, state police confirmed. Two victims were rescued and taken to a local trauma center following a serious Lehigh Valley crash Monday night, authorities said. The multi-car crash was reported near 512 and Brodhead Road in Hanover Township around 5 p.m., according to the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company, which arrived about a minute after dispatch.
