DWI Lansdale Driver Indicted In NJ Corrections Officer's Death
A Pennsylvania driver has been indicted on DWI charges in a crash that killed an off-duty New Jersey corrections officer, NJ Advance Media reported. Joshua R. Beardsworth, 25, of Pittsgrove Township, was stopped in his BMW on the right shoulder of Route 55 when a car — also on the northbound side — struck him in Vineland on Aug. 15, 2021, according to earlier reports. State Police ID Philadelphia Man Killed By Suspected Drunk Driver While Fixing Tire In NJ
A 40-year-old motorist from Philadelphia was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver while fixing a tire in South Jersey, authorities said. Wayne Doharty was killed around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7 in Gloucester County, New Jersey State Police said. Based on the preliminary investigation, Doharty was driving northbound on Route 55 near milepost 43.6 in Franklin Township when his vehicle had a “tire malfunction” and he stopped to fix it, said Trooper Brandi Slota, a State Police spokeswoman. Pennsylvania Man Killed When Car Strikes Tree In South Jersey
A 65-year-old man from Pennsylvania was killed in a crash in South Jersey, authorities said. John W. Falls Sr. of Upper Darby in Delaware County was driving north on Route 55 at milepost 41.2 in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, at 7:18 a.m. Sunday when his Chevy ran off the road, according to New Jersey State Police. The Chevy went up an embankment and struck a tree, Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. Falls was pronounced dead at the crash scene, he said.
