Police: Driver, 69, Removing Debris From Sumneytown Pike Struck By Pickup, Hospitalized A 69-year-old man removing debris from Sumneytown Pike in Montgomery County was struck by a pickup driver and hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The man was heading west when he stopped the car to pick up debris in the eastbound lane, just east of Route 202 on Wednesday afternoon in Lower Gwynedd Township, Officer William Henry said. The driver of the Ford F-550 told police he did not see the man as he was making a slow, righthand turn, authorities said. The driver remained at the scene and was fully cooperative with police.
