Elderly Pedestrian Critically Hurt In Delco Crash: Police A senior is in the hospital after police said he was hit by a car in Marple Township on Saturday morning, Dec. 23.  The elderly man was crossing Broomall Avenue when he was struck by a southbound vehicle near West Chester Pike around 10:20 a.m., township police said in a release.  He was rushed to Lankenau Hospital where he was placed in critical condition, authorities wrote. The driver remained on-scene and police said they are cooperating with investigators.  Marple police and Delaware County detectives are investigating, the release adds.

Manayunk Woman Found Injured On Cynwyd Heritage Trail: Lower Merion PD Authorities in Lower Merion are investigating after a 42-year-old Manayunk woman was found hurt on the Cynwyd Heritage Trail, officials said.  Police were called to the trail around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday after a jogger reported a person lying down near the Manayunk Bridge Trail, according to authorities.  They arrived to find the victim with head and body injuries and suffering from cold exposure, police said.
