Woman Found Dead From Gunshot Wound To Head In North Philadelphia: Police Philadelphia police responded to a report of an armed person early Wednesday morning and arrived at the scene to find a woman dead, the department told Daily Voice.  Officers arrived at the 700 block of West Norris Street shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, authorities said.  The victim, thought to be in her late 30s, had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to PPD.  No weapons were recovered at the scene and no arrest had been made by midday Friday, police said. The Homicide Detective Division is investigating.

Shooting Turns Deadly In Philadelphia: Police One man is dead after shots rang out on a Philadelphia street late Tuesday, June 27, city police told Daily Voice.  It happened in North Philly on the 3100 block of North Stillman Street around 9:30 p.m., the department said. Officers were dispatched for reports of an armed person.  Authorities said the victim, 22-year-old Nadir Smith, had been shot in the head, chest, and back. Police drove him to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:45 p.m., according to the department.
