'Gingerbread Building' Destroyed By Fire A fire "significantly damaged" a historic building in central Pennsylvania Thursday night, PennLive reports. The blaze spread through the third floor and out the windows of the "Gingerbread Building' on West Main Street in Mechanicsburg around 10:25 p.m. the outlet says. Firefighters knocked the fire down and began overhauling at around midnight. There were no injures reported and over a dozen people were being assisted by the Red Cross, the outlet reports. Historic Philadelphia Church Ravaged By Flames, Neighbors Displaced A fire ravaged a historic church in Philadelphia Sunday afternoon. Flames shot out of St. Leo's Church in Tacony as firefighters arrived around 5:15 p.m. More than 100 firefighters, medics and chiefs responded to the 2-alarm blaze at the vacant building, the Philadelphia Fire Department said. Several people were displaced from neighboring buildings, which also sustained damage.  The fire was under control after approximately 2 hours, authorities said.
