A 66-year-old man was operating a dump truck that collided with a Toyota sedan driven by a 64-year-old woman around 2:20 p.m. in front of Riley and Jake's Restaurant, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office said. Both vehicles were heading north. The Toyota then entered the southbound lane and collided with a Volkswagen, operated by a 17-year-old girl. Fiery Wreck On I-78 In Berks Hospitalizes Driver: Police A Maryland man is hospitalized after ramming into a dump truck on a Berks County highway late on Wednesday, Feb. 1, authorities say.  A dump truck was parked on the right shoulder and partially in the eastbound lane of I-78 in Tilden Township to conduct roadwork, state police said in a release. Coroner IDs 2 Killed In I-78 Crash Authorities have identified the two men killed in a Monday morning dump truck crash that closed down stretches of Route 78 in Berks and Lehigh counties. Donald T. Gercie, 63, was driving a dump truck that hit an overpass in the eastbound lanes and rolled over near milepost 48.0 in Upper Macungie just after 9:50 a.m., the Coroner’s Officer said. Gercie, of Alpha, NJ, was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries just before 12:25 p.m. The manner of death was accidental. Gercie’s passenger, Joel A.
