Deadly Shooting Prompts Murder Investigation In Chester: Authorities
Police responded to the scene of a shooting in Chester on Sunday night, Jan. 28, to find one man dead, according to officials. Officers were dispatched to West 7th and Lamokin streets around 6:20 p.m., the department said in a release. They arrived to find Jason Ferguson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, according to the release. Three Firefighters Hospitalized In Chester Blaze
Three firefighters were hospitalized after knocking down a Chester fire, authorities said. The blaze on the 1200 block of Baker Street broke out just after 12 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, according to the Chester Bureau of Fire. Two houses were up in flames by the time crews arrived. One of the firefighters became trapped when they partially fell through the first floor, fire officials said. That firefighter was freed by crew members within minutes. 1 Killed In Weekend Sharon Hill Shooting: Police
One person was killed in a shooting over the weekend in a Delaware County neighborhood, authorities said. Responding officers found a 21-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in an alleyway on the unit block of High Street in Sharon Hill around 2:20 a.m. Sunday, July 24, local police said. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police also spotted multiple shell casings and several vehicles struck by bullets, they said. A warrant was issued Friday, March 11 for the arrest of a 16-year-old boy charged with attempted murder in the shooting at a Delaware County football game last summer that killed 8-year-old Fanta Bility, authorities said. Angelo "AJ" Ford, of Sharon Hill, escaped from an Aspire youth facility sometime between the night of Feb. 24 and the morning of Feb. 25, the Delco Times reports. 1 Dead In Prospect Park House Fire
One person died in a Thursday morning house fire in Delaware County, authorities said. Fire crews responding to a home in the 100 block of Madison Avenue in Prospect Park just after midnight were advised of possible entrapment inside the home, officials said. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames shortly after arrival. State Police: PA Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting 7-Year-Old Boy In South Jersey
A Pennsylvania man was arrested on accusations he sexually assaulted a seven-year-old boy over the course of several months in southern New Jersey, authorities said. In March, detectives began investigating the sexual assault of a young boy by Jonathan W. Hiddeman, 30, of Prospect Park (Delaware County) in Camden and Cape May counties, according to New Jersey State Police.
