Prisoner Killed In Jailhouse Assault, Philadelphia Police Say A 28-year-old man is dead following an assault at Philadelphia's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, city police told Daily Voice.  The unnamed victim was attacked just after midnight on Wednesday, March 13, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later.  No weapon was recovered but one person is being held in connection with the assault, according to police. Homicide detectives are investigating.

Prison Murder: Philadelphia Inmate Found Dead, Police Say A 59-year-old inmate died in his cell at a Philadelphia prison Sunday, Jan. 28, in what police say was a homicide.  Officers from the 8th District responding to a "hospital case" at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, at 8101 State Road, found the unnamed inmate unconscious with blunt force trauma to the head at approximately 9:15 a.m., city police said.
