Knife-Wielding Man Shot By Police After SEPTA Station Stabbings: Authorities Police shot and wounded an armed man near a SEPTA station Monday night after they said he attacked commuters with knives.  It happened at the Walnut-Locust Station on SEPTA’s Broad Street Line around 8 p.m. on Nov. 27, transit authorities told Daily Voice.  The suspect walked into the station dual-wielding a pair of knives, officials said. Roads Close As Work Begins On Easton's Winter Village It's that time of year again.  Workers have begun setting up Easton's annual Winter Village in the city center, as of Wednesday, Nov. 8.  Beginning this week and lasting through the holiday season, Northampton Street is closed to vehicle traffic from the Circle to Sitgreaves Street, City Hall said.  As of Wednesday, the Department of Public Works is prepping the ground surface for the ice skating rink, which will be completed over the next week and a half, according to officials.  Workers also began setting up the Peace Candle in Centre Square on Tuesday, and residents still have time to…

Work To Begin On $2.3 Million Skate Park In Reading Crews are set to begin work this week at the site of a planned skate park in Reading, according to City Hall.  City officials, the Reading Skatepark Association, and Holistic Skate Shop will host a ceremonial groundbreaking at 6th and Canal streets at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 6.  The project is expected to cost $2.34 million, officials said in a release. Grind Line and Land Tech are contracted to perform $744,890 in land development, while firm Spotts, Stevens and McCoy is under agreement to install the park features for $1,599,138.89.
