Danny Matthews of the 2400 block of Harlan Street was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital, city police said.
He was shot while sitting in the driver's seat of his car on the 2000 block of Ridge Avenue, according to investigators. Authorities said he was the victim of a robbery.
No weapon was recovered from the scene and no arrests had been as of midday Friday, police said. The Homicide Detectives Division is investigating.
