27-Year-Old Killed By Allentown Police Identified The man shot and killed by police in Allentown early on Monday, July 24 has been identified as 27-year-old Dominick Hogans.  Hogans was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest around 4:30 a.m., said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio in a release.  City police said they were called to the corner of 6th and Turner streets around 3:40 a.m. for reports of a "male waving a firearm." Officers said the man "fled on foot" after they arrived and a chase ensued.  Authorities claim the man "brandished a firearm and fired at officers" before they "returned fire, striking the suspect." 22-Year-Old Woman Dies In Allentown Scooter Crash A 22-year-old woman was killed in a scooter crash Saturday, June 25 in Allentown, multiple news outlets are reporting. Debralee Roman struck a car around 9:50 p.m. at Eighth and Turner streets and was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 40 minutes later, WFMZ reports. The death was ruled accidental and the crash remains under investigation.

PD: 3 People Stabbed, 1 Person Shot Overnight In Allentown Three people were stabbed and one person was shot overnight in Allentown, authorities said. Officers responding to a home in the 100 block of North 15th Street around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday found a 59-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds, Allentown Capt. Michael Becker said. They are expected to survive their injuries. An investigation led to the arrest of Harold Wingler, 30, charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, and harassment.
