PA Pedestrian, 83, Killed In Accident On Route 309: Officials
An 83-year-old pedestrian is dead following a crash in Quakertown on Monday, Sept. 4, according to the Bucks County Coroner's Office. The victim was hit by a vehicle on Route 309 on Saturday, Sept. 2, the Coroner Meredith Buck said. He died from multiple injuries and the manner was ruled accidental, authorities said. The Coroner's Office did not name the victim but said he was a Montgomery County resident. Quakertown police have not announced any charges in connection with the fatal accident as of Friday, Sept. 8.

Tractor-Trailer Involved In Fiery Lehigh County Crash, Authorities Say
A fire broke out on a Lehigh County highway following an accident late Wednesday morning, say officials. The crash happened in the westbound lanes on Route 22 in Upper Macungie, said Trooper Nathan Branosky in a post just after 11 a.m. A tractor-trailer and a sedan were involved, and medics were called to the scene alongside state police and firefighters, he added. All Route 22 traffic is being detoured onto Route 309 as emergency crews work the scene, Branosky said.

Coroner IDs Victim Of Deadly Route 309 Crash In Lehigh County
Authorities have identified the victim who died in a three-vehicle crash on Route 309 in Lehigh County on Thursday, Oct. 13. Philip J. Helman, 58, was behind the wheel of a car that was involved in the crash with an ambulance and another vehicle around 12:30 p.m. between Gun Club Road and Mountain Road in Lynn Township, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. Helman, of Allentown, died at 1:40 p.m. at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries he sustained in the crash, the coroner said. His manner of death was determined to be an accident. Lehigh Valley Couple Dies In Route 309 Crash: Authorities
A 73-year-old Lehigh Valley woman and her 83-year-old husband died after a crash on Route 309, authorities said. Judith Rutherford was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday, Sept. 23, the Bucks County Coroner told WFMZ. Robert E. Rutherford, of Coopersburg (Upper Saucon Township), meanwhile, was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, where he died at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Man Dies In Crash On I-78 In Lehigh County, Coroner Says
One man died in a crash on I-78 in Lehigh County on Wednesday, Aug. 31, authorities said. The single-car crash happened in the eastbound lanes under the bridge at Route 309, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said. A man was pronounced dead at the scene just after 10:40 a.m., the coroner said. His identity is being withheld until his next-of-kin is notified. More information is expected to be released later today.
