Popular Jersey Shore restaurant Avon Pavilion was set to close after 33 years, but will remain open under new ownership. Bareli's By the Sea owners Liam and Carmen Maloney bought the Ocean Avenue restaurant and are expected to reopen in Spring 2023, NJ Advance Media reports. A Pennsylvania driver accused of killing two people during the unsanctioned H2oi car rally in Wildwood last fall has been indicted on 18 counts including vehicular homicide, NJ Advance Media reports. A Pennsylvania driver has been indicted on DWI charges in a crash that killed an off-duty New Jersey corrections officer, NJ Advance Media reported. Joshua R. A 56-year-old man from Philadelphia was killed after crashing head-on into a tractor-trailer carrying 42,000 pounds of sugar in South Jersey, NJ Advance Media reported. Hien Dinh Nguyen was driving an SUV east on High Hill Road in Logan Township at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 when he veered into the oncoming lane, the outlet said, quoting Logan Township Police. NJ Men Indicted In Deadly House Party Shooting
Two men from South Jersey have been indicted in a double-shooting that left one victim dead and another wounded during a party, according to NJ Advance Media. Kiyon B. Johnson, 22, of Salem, and Rayneer T. Foster, 25, of Penns Grove, were indicted by a Salem County grand jury for first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses, the outlet said. 2 Men Found Dead In South Jersey Garage With Running Car: Report
Two men were found dead in a garage with the car running in South Jersey, NJ Advance Media reports. The bodies of the 18- and- 50-year-old men were found by a Millville resident coming home from work inside of the garage at a home on the 2000 block of Wheaton Avenue (Route 555) around 2:45 a.m., the outlet said citing local police. The incident appears to be accidental, the outlet said, citing a Millville police spokesman. Police did not say if the men were residents of the home or if they died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
