Coroner Names Driver Killed In Lehigh County Crash
Eighty-four-year-old Helen R. Werley died after her car struck another vehicle in Lynn Township on Thursday, April 11, according to the Lehigh County Coroner. Officials said Werley, of Weisenberg Township, died from multiple blunt-force injuries. The manner of death was accidental. The crash happened near the intersection of Schochary Road and Kistler Valley Road around 3:45 p.m. and Werley was pronounced dead at the scene, the Coroner's Office added.

Miguel Dalmasi Killed In Allentown Shooting
A 33-year-old Alburtis man was killed in an Allentown shooting over the weekend, officials said. Miguel Steven Dalmasi was shot at the intersection of East Walnut Street at South Dauphin Street around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. The manner of death a was ruled a homicide and an autopsy will be completed on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The Allentown Police Department, Lehigh County Homicide Task Force and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office are investigating.

Approximately 19 and a half years after a motorcycle crash seriously injured a man he died from complications of those injuries. Eric J. A 26-year-old driver died in an overnight Lehigh Valley crash, officials said. Kendy V. Acosta-Gomez, of Whitehall Township, was driving on the 400 block of Basin Street in Allentown when his car left the roadway and struck a tree, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. It happened around 3:35 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 26. Acosta-Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was Multiple Blunt Force Injuries due to Motor Vehicle Accident. Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Allentown Crash
The motorcyclist killed in a crash Friday, Oct. 27 in Allentown has been identified as a 45-year-old resident. Angel Manuel Gaetan-Velazquez was operating the motorcycle when he struck a motor vehicle around 4:35 p.m. on 30th Street and Emaus Avenue, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. A second driver involved in the wrong-way crash on Route 22 in Bethlehem Township early this month has died, according to the Lehigh County Coroner. Barry W. Fulton, 58, of Summit Hill, passed from multiple blunt force injuries on Sunday, Oct. 5, authorities said. His cause of death was ruled accidental. Convicted Killer Gets Prison Time For 2021 Allentown Slaying
The gunman convicted of killing 43-year-old Jose Bermudez will spend the next several decades in prison, a Lehigh County judge has ruled. Raymond B. Gourgue, 36, was sentenced to 20 to 40 years on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Gourgue was convicted on murder charges in July. Police said he shot and killed Bermudez on the 100 block of North Hall Street on May 14, 2021. Bermudez was pronounced dead later that night at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, the Lehigh County coroner has said. Gourgue was arrested over a year later in October 2022.

PA 21-Year-Old Killed When Scooter Hits Utility Pole: Coroner
An Allentown man was fatally injured when his motor scooter crashed into a utility pole on a city street late on Wednesday, Aug. 30, authorities say. Rony M. Taveras Santana, 21, hit the pole around 10:30 p.m. near Union Boulevard and North Halstead Street, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio. He was rushed to the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, where he died from his blunt force wounds around 3:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, Buglio added. The manner of death was accidental. Allentown police are investigating the accident.

Berks County Woman Dies In Crash: Coroner
A Maxatawny woman died after crashing her car in the township Thursday, Aug. 17, according to authorities. Deborah A. Majerich, 67, was driving along Kohler Road near Berks County Park when her vehicle left the roadway and hit a telephone pole, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. She was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest by Topton EMS where she died from her injuries around 6:15 p.m., the coroner said. The manner of death was ruled accidental. In addition to the Coroner's Office, state police are investigating.

A US Navy veteran is dead after veering off Route 209 and striking a guardrail on Sunday, Aug. 13, officials say. VA Man ID'd As Victim Killed In I-78 Crash
A 22-year-old Virginia man was killed in a tractor-trailer crash on a Pennsylvania highway over the weekend, authorities said. Evan Dennison, of Berryville, was driving a vehicle that struck the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 78 in Weisenberg Township, on Sunday, July 23, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. Dennison was pronounced dead at the scene, at 2:53 p.m. All westbound lanes were closed for several hours. Pennsylvania State Police were investigating.

Victim Identified In Deadly Allentown Shooting
Authorities have identified the man gunned down in an Allentown back alley in the early morning hours on Sunday, June 11. Terrel Meitzler, 24, died of gunshot wounds and the manner of death was homicide, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio in a statement. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, he added. The shooting happened on the corner of Grant and Pine streets, Buglio said. Allentown police are also investigating Meitzler's death.

Lehigh Valley Man Dies After Being Hit By Two Cars, Coroner Says
A car accident in the Lehigh Valley claimed the life of a pedestrian late on Saturday, June 10, officials say. It happened around 9 p.m. in North Whitehall, said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio in a statement. Christian Torres, 22, of North Whitehall, was hit by two cars near Rising Sun Road and Mauser Street. Torres was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest about an hour later, he added.
