Pennsylvania Woman Drowns In Waterfall At Glacier National Park (Updated) A 26-year-old Pennsylvania woman died after falling into the water at Glacier National Park in Montana, according to officials.  The National Parks Service said Gillian Tones of North Apollo slipped on a rock and fell into the water above St. Mary Falls on Sunday afternoon, June 23.  Witnesses said Tones was washed over the falls and trapped underwater for "several minutes," rangers said in a release. Bystanders pulled her from the bottom of the falls and rendered CPR before EMTs arrived in a helicopter.  She never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead at 7 p.m…

Nurse Tried Saving Motorcyclist Killed In Montgomery County Crash, Police Say A motorcyclist died in a crash in Montgomery County Saturday evening, June 15, despite attempts from an on-scene nurse and EMTs to save them. The Kawasaki operator had gotten in a collision with a Hyundai Tucson around 7 p.m. on the 600 block of South Henderson Road before the motorcyclist hit a telephone pole, local police said. Upon arrival, emergency response personnel immediately began to provide medical care to the motorcyclist. A nurse was also on scene and assisted in providing care. Philadelphia Fire Sends Five To Hospital, Officials Say More than 75 Philadelphia firefighters responded to an early morning blaze in Strawberry Mansion on Tuesday, March 12, according to authorities.  First responders were called to the 2800 block of Lehigh Avenue just after 3 a.m., a PFD spokesperson told Daily Voice.  Five people were treated at the scene by EMS and then taken to area hospitals, the department said.  Firefighters were on the scene for over an hour, they added.  PFD is reminding residents that free smoke alarms are available by calling 311 or 215-686-8686.

Dirt Biker, 26, Killed In Reading Crash A 26-year-old dirt bike operator died in a crash over Memorial Day Weekend, police in Reading said. Officers were called to North Grace Street and Lancaster Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28, where the dirt bike and a vehicle collided, Reading spokeswoman Maritza Loaiza said. The 26-year-old dirt bike operator was being treated by EMS when police arrived. He was taken to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

2 Drivers Hospitalized In Multi-Car Crash In Reading Two drivers were hospitalized in a multi-vehicle crash last week in Reading, authorities said. Crews were dispatched around 5:45 a.m. on July 9 to South 6th and Cherry Streets to find one car on its side with the driver trapped, according to the Reading Fire Department. Hydraulic rescue tools were used to stabilize the car and safely extricate the trapped driver by 6:11 a.m., authorities said. Both drivers were taken by EMS to an area hospital for medical treatment.
