Former University of Pennsylvania basketball player Cameron Gunter died on Thursday, Jan. 19, the team announced on Twitter. He was 31 years old. Cameron graduated from Ridley High School (Class of 2014), and went on to play for the Penn basketball team while earning his degree in communications and commerce. Alysha Menzies "always had a song in her head and her heart," a loved one wrote in tribute as word spread that the music tragically and unexpectedly had stopped. Menzies, 27, of Garfield, was driving a sedan that apparently slammed into the back of a flatbed tow truck on westbound Route 3 near Route 120 in East Rutherford shortly after 4 a.m. Friday, May 6, responders said. Maryland native and former NBA player, coach and executive Gene Shue has died at the age of 90, the NBA reports. As a player, Shue racked up five consecutive NBA All-Star appearances from 1958 to 1962 and played one season with the Baltimore Bullets before going into coaching. Haiishen McIntyre died doing what he loved to do most: Playing basketball. The former standout player at Harrisburg High School was shot after a pickup game at a park in North Carolina.
