Born in Allentown, Heck graduated from Emmaus High School in 2015, his obituary says.
Heck had worked as a foreman at PowerHome Solar in Sarver and served as an acolyte and usher at St. John's UCC in Emmaus.
In his free time, Heck enjoyed fishing, hunting, model trains, NASCAR and the NY Giants.
Above all, he was remembered as a loving father to his son, Levi.
More than $4,300 had been raised on a GoFundMe for Heck’s funeral expenses, putting the family close to its $5,000 goal.
Meanwhile, friends and family flocked to social media to share their heartbreaking sentiments.
“The amount of sadness that has came from this is unbearable,” writes Heck’s fiancee, Abigail Ash, on Facebook. “We’re going do life for you now my love, knowing you’re gonna be watching over us every step of the way. Levi and I love you so much more than you could ever imagine.”
“Please watch over us and know that we will always hold you in our hearts. We will do everything we can to make you proud, I promise.”
Heck’s memorial was held Oct. 1 at St. John's UCC on 4th Street in Emmaus.
