Gavin Klines was T-boned by a driver who didn't see him, said his brother Shane Kline of Lowhill Township on the crowdfunding website.

"As of right now, he is in the hospital with serious injuries undergoing surgery which will be one of many," Shane wrote.

"Gavin is an amazing kid who is currently in high school and is set to graduate this year."

He's also a part-time employee at Deka Machining and was slated to take up a full-time position before the accident, his brother said.

"(A)s of right now he has a long road of recovery ahead of him along with extensive medical bills," Shane wrote. "His bike is also unfortunately totaled, this accident is definitely going to be devastating for him."

"Anything to help him with medical bills and whatever he may need going forward will be greatly appreciated."

As of Monday, March 25, the effort has raised nearly $2,000.
