Cold CASE: Mexico Arrest Of Netas Gangmember Wanted For Deadly PA Shooting
US Marshals have arrested the NETAS street gang member in Mexico who has been sought for 25 years in connection to a fatal Pennsylvania shooting, officials announced on Monday, Aug. 21, 2023.
Israel Mendoza has been wanted by authorities since he allegedly shoot Michele Lutz in the back on Front and Elm Street killing her on August 2, 1998, according to Reading police.
Now 43 years old, Mendoza was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement in Jalisco, Mexico, on Friday, August 18th, 2023, according to the police release.

Crack, AK-47 Style Rifle Seized In Reading Drug Bust
Police seized crack cocaine and weapons in a major bust, authorities said.
During a warranted search at 312 Wood St. in Reading on Thursday, April 21, Reading police seized three handguns, an AK-47 style rifle, approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine, and cash, police said.
The two residents were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver and related charges. Their names were not released.
In addition, a third individual in the apartment was arrested for an outstanding warrant from the Berks County District Attorney’s Office, police said.
