Suspects Sought For Broad Daylight Burglary In Berks County: Authorities Detectives in Berks County are asking residents to help identify the getaway car in a home burglary last Thursday, Dec. 14.  Investigators say two men wearing masks and carrying backpacks targeted a home on the 100 block of Great Bend Way in Spring Township around 3:50 p.m.  The burglars took personal items, jewelry, and cash before running to a black SUV, possibly a Mitsubishi, and fleeing the neighborhood, police said.  Anyone who can identify the vehicle is asked to call Crime Alerts of Berks County at 1-877-373-9913 or contact Detective Katzaman with the S…

Drunk Man With Car Full Of Cocaine Crashes Into Patrol Cars In Carlisle, Police Say A  drunk man driving around five marked patrol cars and an ambulance with emergency lighting activated at the scene of an accident was found with illegal drugs and firearms in his fire vehicle authorities say.  Jimmie L. Phillips struck at least one of the police cars in the 300 block of Kingsley Road Lower Allen Township on Jan. 27 at 1:20 a.m., according to a release on Feb. 10 by area police.  The 39-year-old's Mitsubishi Outlander was stopped and "he was found to be intoxicated by alcohol and controlled substances.
