Female PA Corrections Officer Sexually Assaulted State Prison Inmate, Police Say
A corrections officer was arrested for her alleged sexual relationship with an inmate at a state prison in Delaware County, authorities said.
Alyssa N. Pierce, 32, of Philadelphia, on three occasions, had "indecent contact and/or sexual intercourse" with a 27-year-old male inmate at the State Correctional Institution in Chester, Pennsylvania State Police said.
An investigation into Pierce began in June, and as a result, she was charged with three felony counts of institutional sexual assault, and two felony counts of criminal use of a communications facility.

Philly Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teen Student
A Philadelphia teacher has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a teenage student, authorities said.
Barbara Cordo, 30, of Plymouth Meeting, was charged with institutional sexual assault, contact with a minor, and corruption of a minor, according to a spokesperson with the Philadelphia Police Department.
Though details remain vague, investigators say Cordo had an "inappropriate relationship" with a 17-year-old student in Dec. 2021.
