Action News has released the names of the pilot and team photographer killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday night, Dec. 19 in New Jersey. Monroe Smith, 67, of Glenside, PA, was the pilot, and Christopher Dougherty, 45, of Oreland, PA, was the photographer, according to the news station. A medical helicopter heading to Philadelphia from Maryland crashed Tuesday in Delaware County, according to sources and developing news reports. Support is surging for a single-mother who was seriously hurt in a helicopter crash. A K-Copters 47G-2 helicopter crashed at Lititz airport, on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 11:30 a.m., as Daily Voice previously reported citing the FAA. Helicopter Crashes At Lancaster Airport
One person was injured in a helicopter crash at Lancaster Airport Saturday morning, county dispatch told local news outlets. A K-Copters 47G-2 helicopter crashed at Lititz airport, at 11:30 a.m., according to the FAA. Two people were on board. One person was able to escape while another was injured, and transported to a local hospital, abc27 says. The nature of the injuries were not clear.
