Route 61 In Schuylkill County Reopens After Gas Line Break (Updated) Route 61 between Frackville and St. Clair has reopened, PennDOT told Daily Voice Wednesday evening.  The highway was shut down on Tuesday morning, May 14 after a contractor accidentally struck a gas main during a reconstruction project, officials said.  Traffic was detoured to US 209, Route 901 and Interstate 81 while crews repaired the line.  Note: This story has been updated.

Schuylkill County Teen Missing, Possibly In Danger, State Police Say (Updated) UPDATE: The subject of this report has been located safely, per state police.  Troopers in Schuylkill County are asking for the public's help to locate a missing teen.  Maryanne Snyder, 17, of Frackville, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, near South Nice Street, state police said.  She was wearing a black Reebok hoodie and a green dress, troopers said. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Frackville at 570-874-5300. If spotted, call 911.

Navy Veteran Killed In Guiderail, Rollover Crash On US Rt. 209 In PA A US Navy veteran is dead after veering off Route 209 and striking a guardrail on Sunday, Aug. 13, officials say.  The crash happened near the intersection with Tuscarora Mountain Drive in Schuylkill Township, Schuylkill County, around 9:30 a.m., said Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.  Brian P. 18-Year-Old ID'd Following Crash On PA Route 924 A teenager is dead and three others injured after a car accident on Route 924, authorities say.  On Facebook, loved ones identified the victim as 18-year-old Jenna M. 22-Year-Old Woman Killed In Crash On I-81 In Lebanon County ID'd: Pennsylvania State Police A 22-year-old waitress from Frackville has been identified as the victim of a single-vehicle crash that shutters Interstate 81 in Lebanon County for three hours on Monday, Nov. 7, authorities say.  Trina Marie Stoudt was driving a 2004 Honda Civic when she traveled off I-81 north near Exit 100 by the Lebanon-Schuylkill County line, according to state police.
